Ruth’s 30-year career was primarily in corporate finance, spanning the telecommunication, banking, and semiconductor industries. After retiring in 2017 as CFO of customer experience at AT&T, she had a 3-year stint as CFO with Aligned Mortgage. Her areas of expertise, in addition to the typical accounting and finance functions, include trends, planning, and new product or market expansion strategy.
Born and raised in Taiwan, Ruth completed her BA degree with a focus in Statistics at National Cheng-Kung University, and received an MBA from University of Texas, San Antonio. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.
She moved to the Bay Area in 2022 and has carried out her passion for community organizations by volunteering at Gamble Garden, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, Stanford Live, and Stevenson House. She also maintains her support for the Blue Star Contemporary Art Center, Univ. of Texas Capital Campaign Leadership Council, and the Majestic Empire Foundation. Outside of volunteer work, she enjoys playing pickleball, skiing, travel, and time with loved ones.
