Patty Irish

Development

Patty Irish graduated with a B.S from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Cornell University and spent most of her professional career creating and/or managing non-profits. She created Work Options for Women in Wichita, KS where CETA monies was used to recruit and train women for skilled jobs in aircraft. She then moved with her family to Ohio where she chaired a group to establish a battered women’s shelter. In Los Angeles County, she led a group of 85 faith communities in providing a homeless shelter for families and large food programs. In 1994 she moved back to Palo Alto and served on the Palo Alto Housing Corporation for 10 years and was also Director of Development for Peninsula Habitat for Humanity (San Mateo Co). She retired in 2002. In 2006 she moved to Channing House and served on the Board of Trustees for 9 years. For the last 8 years she has Chaired Channing House’ Endowment Fund, after helping to found it. Housing is her passion – quality, affordable housing.
